- Type of Tooth: The type of tooth changes the cost of a filling. Molars usually cost more than front teeth. Fillings are priced by three groups of teeth. They are front teeth, premolars, and molars.
- Number of Surfaces: The cost of a filling depends on where the cavity is on your tooth. It does not depend on how deep the cavity is. If the cavity is on more parts of the tooth, the filling will usually cost more. A filling that covers more parts of the tooth is a bigger job.
